Bangalore is the IT hub of India and many youngsters have chosen to migrate to this city in search of careers. For them, renting out living space is the first priority. If you happen to be a millennial looking for accommodation in Bangalore here are things you should know.

LOCATION

Try to pick a home that is located close to your place of work and also consider whether it is prone to high pollution—air and noise. HSR Layout is an affluent area in South East of the city. Malleswaram has a rich cultural heritage and could be expensive. Hebbal is outside the city but it has good connectivity specially to the airport. Marathahalli is full of homes and commercial spaces. Indiranagar is within the interiors of the city and gives easy access to restaurants and shops. When looking out for a location, it is important to keep several locations handy in case you will need to shift. Therefore it is better to depend on a furniture rental entity online for furniture and other things for the home. It is always a better option to rent than to buy when you are new to the city.

TRAFFIC

Bangalore has chaotic traffic so it is better to pick a house close to where you live. In case of working remotely, location isn't very important. You could get stuck in a traffic jam for an hour if you haven't factored in this little detail.

HOUSE FEATURES

It is important to visit the house or apartment you wish to rent in Bangalore. If you are a couple and both are working, a small apartment would suffice since the rental will be low. You just need space for living room furniture, a bedroom and a kitchen. Rental furniture from Guarented makes for one great furniture option in Bangalore. The reason for this is that furniture and appliances need not be bought immediately, they can be arranged quickly and given back in case you need to shift elsewhere. These days it is easy to find house rentals for millennials. It is best to rent a vacant flat instead of a furnished flat because the rent will be lower. Check for 24 hour water supply, electricity and security features. Also check neighbors and their living habits. Some apartments have exclusions such as non rentals for bachelors, no pets and other such criteria. Also there may be a noisy environment that you may wish to avoid. Visit the apartment once at different times of the day to know about the general atmosphere at the place.

TERMS

Discuss terms with the landlord and go into detail because you do not want to move in, and then face issues about what you can eat or not eat, timing, guests you can have, cost of electricity, water supply and paying taxes. Ask if the landlord will agree to a written agreement and if yes, check the terms with care. Ask about deposit to be paid up-front. You may have to pay a 10 month deposit in advance in Bangalore, which is becoming a norm. Try to find a landlord who will be satisfied with a month’s deposit. Negotiate rent and before you do, carry out a survey of the area to know prevailing rents. Once terms are agreed upon you can look for rental furniture in Bangalore.  For millennials this works very cost-effective and hassle-free. To sum it up, pick a location where air is fresh and it is peaceful and quiet with easy access to shops as well as your place of work. Pick an apartment that does not need much climbing up in a peaceful and quiet place, and do not buy any furniture but get rental furniture from Guarented.
